Twee radiojournalisten verliezen op hun weg naar het vliegveld hun tickets en paspoorten. Wanneer ze erachter komen besluiten ze net te doen alsof ze op de plaats van bestemming zijn en verschuilen zich in een nabijgelegen restaurant. Hun valse verslaggeving van de oorlog wordt een nationale sensatie en blijkt de nodige gevolgen te hebben.
