Fran Maloni, die net weduwe geworden is, weet niet dat haar man is vermoord door zijn eigen broer, de Maffiabaas Joseph Maloni. Ze accepteert een baan als boekhoudster bij haar zwager Joseph die haar na verloop van tijd zijn 'Hitman' maakt om op die manier de schulden van haar man af te lossen.
