Plot

Londen 1537. Tegelijk met de eerste zoon van Henry VIII wordt een jongen geboren in een sloppenwijk. Als ze opgroeien blijken ze elkaars evenbeeld. Als ze elkaar in het paleis ontmoeten, wisselen ze van kleding, waardoor de prins uit het paleis wordt gezet. De bedelaar legt het uit, maar wordt niet geloofd, en als de koning sterft dreigt hij gekroond te worden.
