Het is 1977 in de tijd van het Argentijnse dictatoriale regime. Een voormalige piloot en kapitein van de Argentijnse marine negeert een commando en vlucht om te overleven. Hij kiest ervoor om zich te verbergen in een dorpje in het zuiden van het land, waar zijn aanwezigheid wordt opgemerkt door een gewetenloze en gewelddadige lokale politiechef.
