Autochtone rechercheur Jay Swan komt aan in het grensstadje Goldstone om onderzoek te plegen naar een vermist persoon. Wat aanvankelijk een eenvoudige zaak lijkt te zijn wordt een web van misdaad en corruptie. Jay moet orde in zijn leven zien te krijgen alsmede zijn meningsverschillen met de jongere lokale agent Josh bij te leggen om samen gerechtigheid te brengen in Goldstone.
