In de jaren zeventig ontdekt het jochie Shay Baker de legendarische band The Clash, een Britse punkgroep die bestond van 1976 tot 1985. De groep viel op door hun sterke linkse kritiek en de verschillende stijlen die ze gebruikten in hun muziek. Shane leert de muziek kennen via een meisje in de trein. Hierdoor verandert zijn hele leven. Hij moet en zal naar Londen afreizen.
