Een groepje wetenschappers staat op het punt om een werkend medicijn te ontwikkelen om kanker te genezen. Een aantal filmmakers volgt hen terwijl ze zich een weg banen door een regenwoud in Brazilië. Maar dan verdwijnen de monsters van het medicijn en strandt de hele groep. Ze zullen nu een weg moeten vinden die hen terug leidt naar de bewoonde wereld.
