Plot

Documentaire over dansnummers uit de filmindustrie. Naast fragmenten uit MGM-films is ook materiaal van andere studio's gebruikt, van de bloeitijd van de Hollywoodmusical tot heden. Tal van beroemdheden passeren de revue en voor de liefhebbers wordt er een fragment van The Wizard of Oz getoond dat niet in de film terecht is gekomen. Vijf dansvirtuozen (Kelly, Davis, Baryshnikov, Minnelli, Bolger) praten de fragmenten aan elkaar.
