Na de gebeurtenissen van de afgelopen jaren heeft Sidney zich teruggetrokken. Ze woont nu moederziel alleen in een afgelegen huis, ver weg van Woodsboro. Maar ook in haar nieuwe woonplaats lijkt er geen einde te komen aan haar nachtmerrie. Tijdens de opnames van de horrorfilm Stab 3 wordt een reeks moorden gepleegd. Eén voor één worden de acteurs uit de cast brutaal om het leven gebracht. Bij elk slachtoffer laat de dader een foto van Sidneys moeder achter. Na een telefoontje van de moordenaar beseft Sidney dat ze nergens meer veilig is.
Nee, helaas is Scream 3 nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
