Kerstmis komt eraan, maar voor uitgever E.J. Baxter zijn het allesbehalve vrolijke feestdagen. Op dezelfde avond verliest ze zowel haar baan als haar verloofde. Ze vindt een baan in een klein dorpje, waar ze de lokale bevolking aan geld helpt door een kalender te maken met mannelijke modellen.
