Bonnie, een jonge, succesvolle hispanic architecte, wandelt huiswaarts wanneer ze wordt aangerand. Ze probeert het misbruik geheim te houden voor haar vriendje Matt, maar de waarheid komt snel boven water. Bonnie ontkent nadrukkelijk de impact van wat er met haar is gebeurd en wil de controle terugnemen. Ze wil de intimiteit in haar leven herwinnen, maar dat is makkelijker gezegd dan gedaan. Wanneer een andere vrouw in de buurt misbruikt wordt, gaat Bonnie nog meer in de ontkenning alvorens een ontmoeting met een vrouw haar dwingt de confrontatie aan te gaan met de waarheid.
