Jennifer Brea studeert psychologie aan de universiteit van Harvard. Ze staat op het punt met de liefde van haar leven trouwen. Maar dan krijgt ze een mysterieuze koorts die haar verplicht in bed te blijven. Wanneer de artsen vertellen dat het allemaal ingebeeld is besluit ze haar camera op zich te richten om de verwoestende symptomen te documenteren.
