Noah heeft de perfecte eerste nacht met het meisje van zijn dromen beleefd, maar tot zijn ongenoegen is hij vervolgens in de friendzone beland. De daaropvolgende jaren blijft Noah zich afvragen wat er die avond verkeerd is gegaan. Wanneer onverwacht de mogelijkheid zich voordoet om terug in de tijd te reizen besluit Noah de bewuste avond telkens her te beleven om te achterhalen wat er fout ging en haar alsnog voor zich te winnen.
