Lauren is een Amerikaanse journalist voor de krant Chicago Sentinel. Ze gaat naar Juarez, een stad dicht bij grens van Mexico, om onderzoek te doen naar een aantal moorden op jonge vrouwelijke arbeiders. Wanneer ze ontdekt dat er honderden slachtoffers zijn, wint ze het vertrouwen van de lokale fabrieksarbeiders, maar komt toch in gevaar.
