John Chambers en zijn gezin verhuizen naar een klein plattelandsdorpje in Pennsylvania. Kort na aankomst krijgt John echter last van slaapverlamming, waardoor hij gevangen komt te zitten in zijn eigen nachtmerries en bezocht wordt door entiteiten uit een andere dimensie.
