Een jonge cowboy wordt bij een rodeo met een bijna fataal ongeval geconfronteerd. Hij wordt van zijn paard afgeworpen en loopt daarbij ernstig hoofdletsel op. Hij woont bij zijn vader en zijn zus en ervaart dat de revalidatie moeizaam verloopt.
