Nico is een beroemde acteur in Argentinië, maar wordt in New York niet opgemerkt. Hij liet een succesvolle carrière in zijn thuisland achter om het in de Big Apple te kunnen maken, maar moet een baan aannemen als onder meer barman en babysit om de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen. Met elke rol die Nico aanneemt, zet hij een alter ego in om erbij te horen. Hij draaft op als de ideale barman, de opkomende acteur, de vriend en de vaderfiguur. Maar wanneer oude vrienden uit Buenos Aires hem komen opzoeken, moet hij het beeld van zijn oude leven herbekijken ten opzichte van zijn realiteit als worstelende acteur in New York.
