In de toekomst staat het grootste gedeelte van het land op aarde onder water. Het enige stuk land dat nog niet onder water staat wordt geregeerd door een krijgsheer. Om de controle over het land te behouden zet hij zeer intelligente haaien in, die zich regelmatig voeden met mensen. Een groep gevangen komt echter in opstand tegen de krijgsheer en zijn bloeddorstige haaien.
Nee, helaas is Empire of the Sharks nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
