Bij een van zijn vele bezoeken aan zijn dokter denkt hypochonder George Kimball dat hij binnen twee weken dood zal gaan. Hij wil voor zijn vrouw Judy zorgen, vertelt haar niets, en probeert een nieuwe man voor haar te regelen. Wanneer hij het uiteindelijk vertelt gelooft ze hem niet en vindt het gewoon een flauw smoesje om haar te dumpen.
