Jerry woont en werkt op een autosloperij naast een transformatorstation en heeft het angstige vermoeden dat het transformatorstation zijn hersenen doet smelten. Wanneer hij het wil saboteren gaat het mis en raakt hij gemagnetiseerd. Het magnetische veld om hem heen bezorgt hem nog meer problemen als hij Mike bezoekt, zijn vriend die in de oude slechtlopende videotheek van Elroy Fletcher werkt. Door het magnetische veld zijn alle videobanden onbruikbaar geworden, hierdoor zou Elroy zijn zaak wel kunnen sluiten. Aangezien er maar weinig klanten zijn valt de schade mee en besluiten Mike en Jerry elke film die ze willen huren met hun beperkte middelen zelf na te maken.
