Als een belangrijke gevangene op 10.000 meter hoogte ontsnapt aan zijn bewakers, stelt Pete Nessip alles in het werk om de gevaarlijke te keren. Tot overmaat van ramp wordt hij hiervoor geschorst. Toch gaat hij onverschrokken verder met zijn speurtocht, want als het gaat om het stopen van moordenaars waagt hij graag de sprong in het diepe.
