Jonathan Safran Foer schreef jaren geleden het boek Eating Animals. Met de vraag waarom we vlees eten, daalde hij af in de ontluisterende wereld van de bio-industrie, volgens Foer (in een interview met NRC) "het ergste wat de mens het dier ooit heeft aangedaan." Net als het boek biedt deze gelijknamige documentaire een karrenvracht aan overtuigende argumenten om vleesconsumptie te verminderen en de industriële productie van dierlijk voedsel aan banden te leggen.
Nee, helaas is Eating Animals nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
