Phillipe, alias De Muis, kan ontsnappen uit de zwaar bewaakte gevangenis in de burcht van de bisschop. Marquet en zijn ridders maken meteen jacht op hem. Onderweg wordt Phillipe echter voortdurend in de gaten gehouden door een ruiter met een havik op de arm. Nu de nood het hoogst is, snelt die hem ter hulp.
