Amelia Hughes, een app-ontwikkelaar die niet gelooft in de magie van Kerstmis, gaat tijdens de feestdagen terug naar haar geboortestad Christmas Creek om de magie van Kerstmis te herontdekken. Eenmaal in de stad aangekomen wordt ze herenigt met Mike, haar beste vriend van vroeger, en haar vervreemde oom Harry die na een gebeurtenis tijdens Kerstmis voor een breuk in de familie heeft gezorgd. Wanneer Amelia deelneemt in de festiviteiten, begint ze steeds meer te vallen voor Mike en daarnaast vindt ze ook nog eens de magie van Kerstmis terug. Ze kijkt zelfs uit naar Harry's traditie van kerst waarbij hij speelgoed brengt aan zieke kinderen in zijn vliegtuig.
