Na door een genetisch gemanipuleerde spin gebeten te zijn, maakt het lichaam van de nerd Peter Parker radicale wijzigingen door. Hij kan tegen muren oplopen, web-vloeistof uit zijn polsen spuiten, en hij ontwikkelt een spinnen-zintuig. Hij neemt de naam "Spider-Man" aan, en besluit zijn nieuwe krachten te gebruiken om de slechte Green Goblin te bestrijden. Ondertussen probeert hij de aandacht te trekken van zijn mooie klasgenote Mary Jane Watson.
Nee, helaas is Spider-Man nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
