De 20-jarige Paul is net aangekomen in New York en staat te wachten op het centrale busstation. Hij komt er in contact met de iets oudere Wye, met wie hij in het geheim afspreekt. De twee beginnen een intense relatie die in het gedrang komt wanneer Paul erachter komt dat Wye een transgendervrouw is. Paul wordt met zijn eigen identiteit geconfronteerd.
