Twee filmmakers, Rebecca en Mark, bedachten het plan om een hoax film te maken over de mythische 'Bigfoot'. Ze sloegen hun kamp op in het bos en interviewden de lokale bevolking die beweerde het beest te hebben gezien, waarbij ze elke stap documenteerden terwijl ze de basis legden voor hun hoax.
