Boekenliefhebster Jamie is de eigenares van True Love Books and Cafe, één van de oudste zaken in het stadje Waterford, Oregon. De zaken gaan echter slecht, net zoals bij veel bedrijven in het stadje. Haar eerste liefde, Sawyer O’Dell, keert na jaren terug naar Waterford. Al gauw komen haar gevoelens voor hem weer naar boven, totdat zij ontdekt dat hij bezig is met het ontwerpen van de renovatie van het winkelcentrum. Dit brengt haar boekenzaak in gevaar. Terwijl Valentijnsdag steeds dichterbij komt, net als de dreigende sluiting van haar zaak, bedenkt Jamie een plan om de historische winkels te redden.
