Na de moord op hun ouders trekken Antigone, haar zus Ismène, haar broers Étéocle en Polynice en hun oma Ménécée naar Montreal. Daar leiden ze een sober bestaan in een kleine flat. Tragische gebeurtenissen weten de familie echter te achtervolgen wanneer Étéocle ten onrechte doodgeschoten wordt door de politie. Dit wakkert het plichtsbesef van Antigone aan en ze besluit haar toekomst op het spel te zetten om dat van haar gezin te behouden.
