In de nabije toekomst leerde de katholieke kerk hoe ze mensen weer tot leven kon wekken. Het hele proces wordt geheim gehouden en volgt strikte regels: alleen zondeloze gelovigen onder de 65 jaar kunnen worden opgewekt. De film speelt zich af op de computer van Stanley, een online kerkpriester die degenen helpt die weer tot leven zijn gewekt. Hij is gescheiden en zijn zoon woont bij zijn ex-vrouw, zodat hij alleen online met hem kan chatten. Stanley's zoon was de eerste persoon die weer tot leven werd gewekt nadat hij omkwam bij een auto-ongeluk dat Stanley had veroorzaakt. Al snel komt Stanley erachter dat er een enorme samenzwering schuilgaat achter het wederopstandingsproces.
