In Bogota is Silvia, een alleenstaande moeder en advocate, betrokken bij een corruptieschandaal. Een diepere angst drukt ook op haar. Leticia, haar moeder, is ernstig ziek. Ze heeft kanker. Nadat ze haar onvermijdelijke dood tegemoet is gegaan, begint Silvia voor het eerst sinds jaren aan een romance.
