In een wereld waar robots de rol van babysitter op zich nemen, haalt ook Jake met zijn vrouw een hulprobot in huis. Yang zal meehelpen met de opvoeding van hun geadopteerd dochtertje. De familie onderhoudt een heel goede band met Yang, waardoor deze helemaal deel uitmaakt van het gezin. Ook met een andere hulprobot schept Yang een goede band. Wanneer hij echter niet meer blijkt te functioneren, doet het gezin er alles aan om de robot te redden.
Nee, helaas is After Yang nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
