De in Rotterdam geboren fotograaf Toni Hafkenscheid wil de wereld fotograferen zoals hij die als jongetje in het boek Wonders of the World zag. Met een fascinatie voor futuristische architectuur zoals Marina City in Chicago, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis en Habitat 67 in Montreal. In deze documentaire wordt de kijker meegenomen op een reis langs Hafkenscheids “relics of the future”: terug naar de wereld van The Jetsons en Thunderbirds.
Nee, helaas is Relics of the Future nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
