Het koppel Sophie en James haalt een levensechte hulprobot in huis. Aanvankelijk is hun nieuwe hulp Henry stil en hardwerkend tot zijn programma geactiveerd wordt. Plots wordt Henry zich bewust van de noden en verlangens van het koppel en dat vertaalt zich naar zijn gedrag. Sophie en James' kijk op wat het is om mens te zijn verandert voorgoed en het is nog maar de vraag of hun relatie - en zijzelf - Henry zal overleven.
Nee, helaas is Life Like nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
