Mae is een jonge vrouw die een foto ontdekt van haar overleden moeder en haar vroegere geliefde. Deze onthulling zorgt ervoor dat ze zichzelf tegenkomt en haar pad dat van de journalist Michael kruist. De twee beginnen een relatie die moeilijkheden ondervindt door de persoonlijke problemen van Mae.
