De jonge Oscar doodt, ter bescherming van zijn beste vriendin Loux, diens gewelddadige vader. Hierdoor moet hij noodgedwongen zijn geboortedorp ontvluchten. Hij komt in de wereld van de misdaad en corruptie terecht. Vijftien jaar later staat hij aan het hoofd van een groep afvallige kinderen. Op zoek naar een beter leven verhuist Loux op haar beurt naar dezelfde stad.
