Een jonge Peter kijkt hulpeloos toe hoe zijn zusje wordt aangereden door een auto, die gelinkt wordt aan de Italiaanse maffia. Ook zijn familie blijft geschokt achter. 30 jaar later wordt Peter nog steeds door deze tragische gebeurtenis achtervolgd. Door zijn schuldgevoel houdt hij zich buiten de familiezaken. Zijn neef Michael is echter als een broer voor hem en staat nu aan het hoofd van de Ierse maffia.
