Vier vrienden verlaten Seattle voor een weekend in een afgelegen, regenachtige hoek van de rustieke Skagit Valley in de staat Washington. Het onheilspellende landschap begint kort daarop invloed te hebben op hun geesten. Ieder van hen belandt hierdoor in een alternatieve realiteit waar ze moeten omgaan met hun persoonlijke demonen, seksuele spanningen en een sinistere wereld terwijl ze hun weg terug naar het gezonde verstand zoeken.
