Samuel is een jongen die in een rolstoel zit. Samen met zijn moeder Elena woont hij in een groot landhuis aan de rand van een bos. Zijn moeder beveelt hem in het landhuis te blijven, een regel waaraan hij zich altijd heeft gehouden. Dit tot de meid Denise in huis wordt gehaald en hij via haar de kracht vindt om tegen zijn moeder in te gaan. Elena is echter niet van plan haar zoon te laten gaan.
