Hoog boven de aarde maken rondcirkelende satellieten moderne communicatie mogelijk. Om afstand te nemen van zijn eenzaamheid stuurt een satelliet-technicus constant sms'jes naar zijn oude vrienden. Na het verwaarlozen van zijn taken verlaat een satelliet zijn baan waardoor een kettingreactie ontstaat en het wereldnetwerk instort.
