Een groep studenten vertrekt voor een snowboardavontuur op een ongerept stuk land. Wanneer hun SUV op mysterieuze wijze tot stilstand komt in een brute sneeuwstorm, worden ze niet alleen geconfronteerd met de realiteit van doodvriezen, maar met een lot dat nog gruwelijker is. Want ze zijn gestrand in Stoughton Valley, de thuisbasis van een aantal heksenprocessen die nog gruwelijker zijn dan Salem, en worden opgejaagd door een bovennatuurlijk wezen dat vastbesloten is hen daar te houden.
