Dit is het verhaal over twee jongen mensen uit verschillende milieus die verliefd op elkaar worden. Babi is een meisje uit de hogere middenklasse dat goedheid en onschuld heeft meegekregen door haar opvoeding. H. is een impulsieve, rebelse jongen die een honger naar gevaar en avontuur heeft en vaak op het randje van het gezonde verstand balanceert.
