Hij was er verantwoordelijk voor de coup die de CIA en MI6 in het grootste geheim pleegden tegen de progressieve Iraanse premier Mossadegh. Acteur Ralph Fiennes vertolkt de teruggevonden getuigenis van Darbyshire waarin het hallucinante verhaal van de coup uit de doeken wordt gedaan.
