Een jonge vrouw is net afgestudeerd en neemt een droombaan aan als assistente van een befaamde magnaat in het entertainmentwereldje van New York. Terwijl ze haar dagelijkse karweitjes uitvoert merkt ze taferelen op waarbij vrouwen mishandeld worden door de baas. De vrouw besluit dat het zo niet langer kan.
