Wanneer een buurvrouw Dorothy's hond Toto probeert in te laten slapen, neemt ze hem mee en rent ze weg. Ze worden echter opgepakt door een tornado die hen meeneemt naar het magische land van Oz. Ze begint naar de stad Oz te reizen, waar een grote tovenaar woont. Onderweg ontmoet ze een vogelverschrikker die hersenen nodig heeft, een blikkenman die een hart wil, en een bange leeuw die moed nodig heeft. Ze hopen allemaal dat de Tovenaar van Oz hen zal helpen.
Nee, helaas is The Wizard of Oz nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
