In het Parijs van net voor de Eerste Wereldoorlog slaapt een soldaat met een prostituee alvorens het bed te delen met Rose. Dit alles terwijl hij met de mooie Sophie wil trouwen. De soldaat gaat van de ene vrouw naar de andere zonder zich ook maar zorgen te maken.
