Tess Carlisle is de weduwe van de voormalige president van Amerika die haar bodyguard Doug tot wanhoop drijft. Conflict na conflict ontstaat als hij alles volgens het boekje wil doen, terwijl Carlisle hem liever gebruikt als golfcaddy of boodschappenjongen.
