Dit imposante monument wordt vrijwel gedeconstrueerd om in het verleden van dit revolutionaire werk te duiken. Onwaarschijnlijk onthult 'Lady Liberty' haar ingenieuze metalen frame met het uiterlijk van een Eiffeltoren. Met een hoogte van 93 meter heeft het vrijheidsbeeld 28 ton zuiver koper, in de vorm van 300 platen geplaatst met een hamer die zijn externe coating vormt. De constructie, voltooid in 1886, is het werk van de Franse beeldhouwer Bartholdi, maar wie is de vrouw die hem heeft geïnspireerd?
