De film vertelt het verhaal van Travis. Travis wordt gevonden in de woestijn en door zijn broer Walt meegenomen naar huis. Daar aangekomen vindt een ontroerende ontmoeting plaats tussen Travis en zijn inmiddels 7 jaar oude zoontje Hunter.
