Rick Hunter is terug. Hij is van plan zijn vriendin ten huwelijk vragen, maar eenmaal thuis aangekomen blijkt ze vermoord te zijn. Hunter denkt dat haar ex-man hier achter zit, tot hij een anoniem telefoontje krijgt van iemand die zegt meer van de moord af te weten.
